Then I discovered this recipe, and my answer will never be the same again.
These are the best cookies in the world.
They’re buttery and so soft that they fall apart at a touch, and they combine the sweetness of chocolate and sugar with an ample dash of sea salt.
All that is enough to put them in the “Top 10 Cookies of All Time” list, but then you’ll bite into one, and a river of rich, warm, gooey Nutella rushes onto your tongue…

Honestly, I’m not sure if “heavenly” and “divine” are strong enough words. 

Each one of these thick, chewy, delightfully soft chocolate chip cookies has a decadent brownie surprise stuffed inside it. 
You bite into it, expecting the yumminess of chocolate chip cookies, and get that and an extra dose of fudgy brownie. 
Add that to the fact that you can make a whole batch in just over 20 minutes, and you have another stuffed cookie winner. 

These sweet and fruity strawberry cookies include a rich, sticky cream cheese filling. 
It’s kind of like having strawberry cookies with cream cheese icing, except these are better because the cream cheese is a hidden surprise. 
You’ll know it’s there, but unless you tell people, they’ll get the sheer pleasure of that unexpected extra sweetness.

These cookies take a bit longer to make than some of the others on the list (about an hour and 10 minutes), but they combine two of the most wonderful desserts ever: s’mores and chocolate chip cookies.

Here’s another cookie that has a lot happening inside it, but the name probably gave that away.
The closest comparison I can make for these is with Panera’s “Kitchen Sink” cookies.
However, there are many more ingredients in these – white sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, rolled oats, dark chocolate, hazelnuts, Nutella, sea salt, and more. 
You’ll think they’re amazing when you first see them, but once you take that first bite and the gooey filling hits your tongue, you’ll know they are actually exquisite.

These may not be appropriate for every occasion (although you could easily make them work for various events by simply choosing a different cookie cutter).
Still, they were too incredible not to add. 
Each cookie has three cookie layers. You’ll hollow out the middle cookie so that you can add M&Ms, nuts, raisins, chocolate chips, or any other small treat you want to use. 
Then, you’ll stick the third and final cookie on top of the middle one to help hold in all the extra treats.
Finish the cookies by decorating them with icing however you like. 
Imagine the surprise on the faces of your guests when they bite into a seemingly unassuming cookie to find a surplus of candy and treats spilling out of it.
